Keera Vada

Keerai vadai or spinach vada recipe with step by step photos – this keera vadai is a healthy south Indian snack and I made it as naivedyam during the Tamil new year 2015 along with Paal Payasam.

this vada recipe have no onion no garlic. similar versions of medu vada I have posted long back which we make almost for all pandigai.i have already posted an onion version of medu vada.

I have only used urad dal (black gram) in making this vadai, we can make with gram dal also. I have add the healthy spinach called sirukeerai in Tamil which is rich in vitamins. when I make medu vadai, I always soak the lentils just for an hour not more than that because it suck too much oil and will get soft and crispy when deep fried. These deep fried fritters are called as Keera Vadai or Spinach Vada, வடை in Tamil.

Do you believe if I say that I grinded the dal in mixie ??? Yup, I did. Do check the video How to Grind the vada Batter in mixie it will help to make the batter perfect. You can make it vada very quick.

whenever I prepare vadas, I will get the perfect donut shape. But if you find it difficult in shaping the vada, don’t worry check this video you can make it perfectly .
