This Mushroom soup tastes same as the one which we get in a restaurant, a much better taste I will say 🙂

I have had Mushroom Soup in many Places. Some restaurants really make a good soup. Some Soup tastes worst and consistency has been watery or I can feel flour smell which they have added. Creamy Mushroom soup should be thick and creamy at the same time need to see the mushroom chunks in every sip. In some restaurants, it is missing. I am sure most of you would have had this thought crossed your mind too, that you can make a better soup than the restaurant’s ones.

Few soups I have been making regularly at home for dinner and some for Party, I would like to say that this is my trademark soup and type of making the mushroom soup you can’t find even on Internet 🙂  I would love to share the recipe with you today!

Important Tips to Kept in mind to make really a good Mushroom Soup(secret):

  • To make soup try to choose the button mushrooms and avoid other types like an oyster.
  • Butter is good for health and Sauting the mushroom in butter gives very good flavor don’t skip that step. If not you can use olive oil but the taste will not be the same.
  • The water level is very important, At one stage after adding the salt the mushroom itself start leaving the water so don’t add too much water then you won’t get the creamy texture.
  • I would love to add cream to the final stage, either you can add the cooking cream or thick whipping cream.

Mushroom Soup recipe-Easy to make Mushroom soup in Restaurant style

Ingredients
  • 1.5 tbsp Butter
  • 2 or 3 garlic cloves(Poondu)
  • 250 g Mushrooms(roughly chopped)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp corn flour
  • 1 cup water
  • freshly crushed black pepper
  • ⅓ cup cream(fresh cream)
Instructions
  1. Rinse the mushrooms well and gently wipe it with a clean towel. roughly chopped it and keep aside.
  2. Chop the onions and garlic keep aside.
  3. In a saucepan, add 1.5 tbsp butter, Chopper onions, and garlic and saute well.
  4. Add in salt and pepper powder and cook well for 2 mins. Once the water is oozing out from the mushroom, add 1 tsp cornflour and mix well.
  5. After adding the corn flour the mushroom started thinking, at this stage switch off the stove and let the mushroom to cool down.
  6. Take 75% of the mushroom and transfer to the Blender Jar and blend to a smooth paste.
  7. Add the paste to the saucepan again and then add a cup of water and boil it with the remaining mushrooms, Just boil it for 2-3 mins and then switch off the stove.
  8. Add the cream while serving. Tasty and Creamy Mushroom soup is ready.
Notes
1. Add the cream while you serve, instead of for cream you can use coconut milk.
2. Don't cook the mushroom too much you will not get the chunky taste then.
3. don't add too much water.

Cream of Mushroom Soup Recipe
