Have you tasted the fresh sugarcane juice selling at the road side.I am not a big fan of it, discussing part it that the flies surrounding the glasses and some times the glasses won’t be cleaned properly. Still we can make the fresh sugarcane juice at home with the same taste,without the extracting machine. I have used the mixie(blender) normal grinding blade not the juicer. It just came out perfect. I have added the lime juice and ginger for added taste.

Step:1 Wash the sugarcane(karumbu) and then peal the hard outer skin. Then chop the sugarcane into small pieces.
Step:2 Add it into the mixie,add ginger and grind it. Add little water(if needed) and grind again.Drain the sugarcane extract in a glass(do the grinding part in batches)
step:3 squeeze it with hand and extract the juice(if you want you can add it again into the mixie jar and add water grind it one more time).Extract the juice. Add lime juice while serving. Fresh Sugarcane juice is ready to serve.

- 4 cup Sugarcane (chopped)
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 inch ginger
- 1 tsp sugar(optional)
- ⅓ cup water
