The first time it wasn’t crispy because soya chunks sucked more oil. The second time the sauce becomes thick and it doesn’t coat with the soya chunks and this time result was awesome. The taste was superb. I am just sharing my personal experience with this recipe.

Honey Chili Soya Chunks Recipe(RECIPE CARD):
- 2 cups soya chunks, soaked, boiled with salt
- 2-3 tbsp Corn Flour
- Water (for soaking & Boiling soya chunks)
- Oil - to deep fry
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 3-4 tbsp Garlic, finely chopped
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 3 Green Chilli
- ¼ cup Capsicum
- 1 tbsp Sriracha / Chili Sauce
- 1 tsp Soya Sauce
- 1 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tsp Vinegar
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tsp Sugar
- few Greens of Spring Onion
- Soak soya chunks for about 10-15 minutes in water. after 15 mins boil the soya chunks with 1 tsp salt.
- Once it becomes soft switch off the stove and drains the water completely. Squeeze the water completely from the soya chunks and keep aside.
- Soya chunks should be dry.
- Add a tbsp of cornflour coat well with the soya chunks. This is the first coat and mixes well.
- Add one more tbsp of cornflour coat again. Now the soya chunks are well coated with cornflour.
- Heat the oil deep fry the soya chunks until they turn crisp. repeat this process for remaining soya chunks fry and keep aside.
- Now let's make the sauce, heat oil in a pan, add the finely chopped garlic, green chili, onion, and bell pepper saute well.
- add the sauces like red chili sauce, tomato ketchup, soya sauce, vinegar and mix well.
- add the salt, sugar, pepper powder, mix well. Switch off the stove.
- Now add in the fried soya chunks and mix well. Make sure that the sauces well coated with the soya chunks.
- Finally, add the honey and mix well.
- Garnish it with spring onions and roasted sesame seeds and serve.
Honey Chili Soya Chunks Recipe, How to make Crispy Crunchy Chili Soya Chunks(STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTION)
STEP:1 Soak soya chunks for about 10-15 minutes in water. after 15 mins boil the soya chunks with 1 tsp salt.

STEP:4 Now add in the fried soya chunks and mix well. Make sure that the sauces well coated with the soya chunks.

Garnish it with spring onions and roasted sesame seeds and serve.
Important Notes to make Perfectly crispy crunchy honey chili soya chunk recipe:
- Squeeze the water completely from the boiled soya chunks otherwise, it will suck more oil. This is a very important step to follow.
- Double Coating of Corn needed. Soya chunks won’t turn crips in a single coating of cornflour so make sure that you are coating it 2 times.
- One more important step before adding the fried soya chunks to the sauce switch off the stove and then add it, otherwise the sauce turns dry it will not coat evenly with the soy chunks.
- Adding roasted sesame seeds will give crunchy taste don’t skip it.
- always add honey at the final step.
How to Serve Honey Chili Soya Chunks?
As I said before it can be served as Appetiser as it is or we can serve it with simple fried rice or noodles. You can serve Honey Chili Soya chunks as an Evening Snack also
