Aamras is made with Alphonso mangoes(king of mangoes), Mango puree is extracted and elachi flavor is added and served with hot puri. Creamy and Softy Aamras is taste like mango ice cream. You won’t believe my kids had this as it is they love the mangoes in any form. As the mango season is already started, I think a right recipe for the season and Mangoes are the king of fruits. Tips to make Aamras Recipe:
- You can make this Aamras with milk instead of water and also try to add condensed milk which is a richer version😃
- Traditional Aamras recipe calls for the ingredients Dry ginger powder(soondh) and a pinch of salt. While serving little ghee on top. This is the Traditional Recipe of Aamras.
- Fresh Saffron on Aamras enhance the taste so don’t skip adding Saffron.
- always add the powder sugar than the course. You will get creamy and soft Aamras.

- Squeeze the mango and take out the pulp of it with your hands or use your own method to extract the pulp from mangoes.2.Add Cardamom Powder. i have powdered the cardamom with sugar and added it. You can crush the cardamom pods and add that too.3.Add the powdered sugar. I have grounded the sugar and seve it. The fine sugar powder added to the mango pulp.4.Blend the pulp by adding dry ginger powder and saffron(both as per your taste buds add it). if the pulp is hard add little water or milk to it and blend it.

- 2 tbsp sugar powder
- pinch of salt(optional)
- ¼ tsp of ginger powder
- ⅓ tsp cardamom powder
- a pinch saffron strands
