Vada Pav chutney recipe I have posted last week. I stored it in the fridge and used it to make the Vada Pav for the evening snack. Almost a week now my Vada pav chutney looks very fresh and tastes yum.
Time is taken for me to Make Bata Vada(fried potato vada) is less 3o mins and the whole prosses of making Vada Pav has been completed in less than an hour. This is the best Vada Pav Recipe that I have made and tasted.
Crispy Vada Pav or Wada pav or Batta Vada can be made by spicy seasoned potatoes fried in a gram flour batter. Taste awesome with a cup of Chai.

Easy Vada Pav Recipe, Step by Step Mumbai Pav Vada Chutney:
Step: 1 Making the Besan Batter(gram flour batter) for Batta Vada, Take a bowl add the gram flour(besan flour), salt and water mix well without any Lumps.
The batter consistency should be neither thick nor thin. Once you mix the batter keep aside and make the Batta Wada for vada pav. Now the Gram flour batter is ready.
Step: 2 Direction to prepare Batta Vada(Wada), First Boil the potatoes and peel the skin. Mash it and keep aside.
heat oil in a pan. add mustard seeds, Hing and let it splutter.
Add finely chopped green chilies and ginger, saute. add chopped coriander leaves.
Add the mashed potatoes and mix well.
Add turmeric powder, salt, and lime juice, mix well. Let the vada mixture to cool down.
Then make small balls.Dip the balls inside the Prepared Gram flour batter(besan batter) and drop it into the hot oil.
Deep fry it till golden and remove it from the stove. Batta Vada(Wada) is ready now.

Dry garlic chutney recipe, make and keep ready.Slice the vada pav into 3/4, make sure that you are the slicing it into the half. spread the dry garlic chutney powder at the one side of the pav and the other side with green chutney.
Place the prepared Batta Wada(vada) in between the Pav and a fried chili inside, serve immediately.
Serving Suggestion:
You can add the grated cheese on top of the pav to make it more tempting, cheesy vada pav is ready.
Make the vada pav and then you can grill it and serve, Grilled vada pav is ready.
Recipe card for Mumbai Vada Pav Recipe:
- For besan batter(gram flour batter):
- 1 cup besan/gram flour
- pinch of asafoetida / Hing
- water as required
- salt to taste
- For Potato(aloo) stuffing:
- 2 potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
- 1 tbsp ginger finely chopped
- 2 green chilies finely chopped
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- pinch of asafoetida / Hing
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ⅓ cup coriander leaves chopped
- 1 tsp lemon juice(i didn't add)
- salt to taste
- For assembling one vada pav:
- 2 tbsp green chutney
- 2 tbsp garlic chutney
- 1 pav bun
- 1 Batta vada(Wada)
- 1 fried green chili
