How to make Karuppu Ulundhu Ladoo, Step by Step Ulundhu Ladoo( Sunnundalu) recipe:
Dry roast 1 cup Urad dal(you can use white urad dal or green moong dal) in low flame till you get a nice aroma(we can’t see the color change of dal since we have used black urad dal, only with the aroma we can predict that the dal roasted well so make sure we are roasting in low flame)
Cool down for some time and then powder it along with 3 to 4 cardamom.
Once powdered, add 3/4 cup jaggery(adjust accordingly) just give a pulse along with urad dal powder, and then transfer it to a plate.
The mixture should be a fine powder, if you any coarse mixture then sieve it.
Take ¼ cup of ghee warm-up and then add it to the laddu mixture. Add roasted cashews, Mix well. Make small lemon-sized balls out of it.
For 1 cup of urad, we will get 10 medium-sized ladoos.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature, It will stay good for a week.
If you store laddu in the fridge it will turn hard.
