Flax Seeds Idli Milagai Podi recipe:
- ½ cup urad dal
- ⅓ cup chana dal
- ⅓ cup flax seeds
- 1 tbsp black or white sesame seeds
- 6 to 7 dried red chilies
- ½ tsp pepper
- few curry leaves(optional, but gives good flavor)
- 1 tsp salt

- Heat a tsp of oil in a Kadai add ½ cup urad dal, ⅓ cup chana dal roast in medium flame, till the dal turns golden, remove it from the Kadai. ⅓ cup flax seeds,1 tbsp black or white sesame seeds
- dried red chilies, ½ tsp pepper roast it, let them cool down completely and then transfer to a mixie jar, add a few curry leaves(optional, but give good flavor), 1 tsp salt, hing. Powder it to a coarse powder. Idli podi is ready!!
- Mix Idli podi either with sesame oil (nallennai) or ghee.
- Serve with idli or dosa.
Step By Step Flax Seeds Idli Milagai Podi recipe,

✅You can store this podi at room temperature for up to 15-20 days. If you are going to need it for a longer time, then store the podi in zip lock bags in the freezer. It stays fresh for up to 4-5 months in the freezer.
