Sabudana ladoo recipe with step by step photos and videos. Sabudana ladoo/javvarisi laddu is the easy ladoo recipe made with roasted sabudana or javvarisi & coconut. The coconut added in this ladoo gives extraordinary flavor to this laddu.sabudana laddu(Sago laddu) recipe will be make during the period of navratri for fasting so this is one of the navratri fasting menu. First time while made this laddu i faced few difficulties because the i have roasted the sago/sabudana for long in low flame and it become more crisp and then next time while i make i reduced roasting time and then it came out perfect so this post lets see,

Sabudana ladoo recipe with step by step pictures,
dry roast the sabudana for 15-20 mins(roasting time differs according the quality of the sago). once roasted, add it in the mixie jar and ground it into a fine powder. Now dry roast the coconut for 2 minute in medium flame.
Add 1 tsp ghee,cardamompowder and sugar mix well. After 1 minute add in the grounded sabunada/javvaraisi/sago with the coconut mix and mix well. Now add 1 tbsp ghee with the ladoo mix and switch off the stove. After adding the ghee the mix become soft and you can doo.
If you want you can add a tsp of you ghee at this stage so that while rolling the ladoo will not break or crack. make medium sized balls from it and then roll it over the laddle so that you can get the perfect round shaped ladoos without any crack on them.

Tips for roasting and prepare ladoos(some secrets relieved ),
1) Use ghee for longer shelf life and nice flavor. you can use oil also.
2) use little milk if you are calorie conscious or ghee while making ladoo.
3) Instead of sugar, you can also use powdered sugar or jaggery.
4) You can also skip roasted coconut if you going to keep it long.
5) don’t roast the sago as well as coconut for long.

- 1 cup Sago / Sabudana / Javvarisi / tapioca pearls
- 1 cup Sugar ,

- 4 Cashew nuts,
- 1 tsp + 1 tbsp Ghee
