What is Poricha Kuzhambu?

PORICHA MEANS “FRIED OR Tempered” KUZHAMBU MEANS CURRY. An easy and simple South Indian favourite poricha kuzhambu/some may call poricha sambar recipe made with moong dal and drumsticks. The most popular Kuzhambu Variety in Thanjavur, there are many ways to make this poricha kuzhambu recipe, but in this recipe post, I have used drumstick. This Tamilian home-style poricha kuzhambu is a kind of sambar variety but without tamarind and toor dal. This Poricha kuzhambu goes well with hot steaming rice + ghee topped. Also with idli, dosa too. Actually, it tastes yummy the next day with curd rice🙈.

Very famous kuzhambu variety from my hometown, whenever amma makes this kuzhambu mor milagai and arisi appalam(amma made) is a must side dishes. Tried a nostalgic lunch menu yesterday and enjoyed it!
