Sundakkai Poricha Kuzhambu

here is the picture of sundakkai,
Ingredients:
100 g sundakkai
1/2 cup moong dal
1 medium sized onion chopped
1 medium sized tomato chopped
1 tsp sambhar powder
1/4tsp turmeric powder
1 sprig curry leaves
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
A pinch hing powder
salt to taste
water as we needed.
Method:
Wash and Pressurecook the moong dhal with enough water and keep aside.
Heat oil in a kadai,add cumin seeds.Once it started crackle add chopped onion,tomatoes and curry leaves.Finally add the sundakkai,fry them in the oil for 2 mins.
Transfer the fried things into the pressure cooker and mix it with the dhal.
Add salt,sambar powder,hing powder and a cup of water.
Close the lid and pressure cook it.Just One whistle is enough,switch off the stove.
Transfer the kuzhambu into a serving bowl and serve hot with rice.

if you want to try the peas tip then you will see little bit of shine if not the color (if the one which you get there are not that green):)

i use dry sundakkai in vathal kulambhu,but never tried anything with the fresh one.poricha kootu with that sounds nice and the meal platter makes me hungry
