Poricha Sathamudhu(Rasam) Recipes | Easy Rasam Recipes

PorichaPorichcha Sathamudhu is nothing but rasam without tamarind.Some pandigai we wont use tamarind in cooking.It taste almost like paruppu rasam. Very light and comfort rasam Recipe.Sathamudhu is rasam.
This rasam is so easy to make ,here is the recipe.

Ingredients:
1 tomato
Few coriander leaves chopped
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp urad dal
1/2 tsp ghee
salt as needed

To dry roast:
1 tsp Toor dhal
1/2 tsp Milagu / black pepper – 1/2 tsp
1 dry Red chilly
A pinch asetofodia 
1/2 tsp Jeera/cumin seeds

Method
1.Heat a oil in a pan and dry roast the toor dhal,cumin seeds,pepper,Asafoetida,red chilly.

2.Grind them into a fine paste,keep aside.
3.Temper the mustard seeds,urad dal in oil.Then add chopped tomato and  2 cup of water and cook for 10 minutes.Now add the above paste and cook .
4.Once the rasam becomes to a boil.Add a little ghee and turn off .Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
[you can add a little water if the rasm is too thick.Also you can  add the curry leaves along with the mustard seeds in ghee.Rasam usually tastes great when we use ghee to season the mustard seeds)
