Beetroot Kootu recipe, Spicy Beets milagu Kootu without onion and Garlic

Beetroot Milagu kootu is something spicy kootu recipe without onion or Garlic, Traditional Palakad Brahmin style Beets Milagu Kootu. This Beetroot Kootu is a slightly different version of Thanjavur style Kootu, which I have shared before Thanjavur Style Pudalangai Poricha Kootu recipe, with Pepper twist. We wont add pepper in kootu this Palakad style Beetroot kootu has pepper so something sweet and spicy tastes Amazing with Rasam Sadam or Simply tops on hot steaming + Beetroot + a tsp ghee its a divine combo👌👌👌.

Learned this Kootu recipe from Vageshwari Nambiar Aunty, who is my neighbor. I had this kootu twice at her home. During Onam Sadya she made it and last week she made and sent it. The next day itself I made it at home. It tastes amazing. Her original version has shallots, but I skipped it since I made it for Navratri lunch. rest all her recipe only.

Aunty is my walking friend while going for walk we talk more about food. For each and every dish she will say story about the dish and how she recreated it. Actually i started to love kerala food after tasted the food from her home only. i have shared her a avial recipe on Insta. We are good food friends 🤦‍♀️😎
