Homemade Thandai Masala Powder RecipeHow to make Thandai powder? 1/2 cup almonds, 70 grams, 1/3 cup cashews, 50 grams,1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns,2 tablespoon fennel seeds,2 tablespoon poppy seeds,30 green cardamom pods,2 tablespoons dried rose petals,1/4 teaspoon saffron strands. To make the Thandai powder, add all ingredients to a spice grinder. Grind until you get a smooth powder. Store in an airtight container and use as needed.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Plain Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • ½ tsp Baking soda
  • ⅓ cup Thandai Mix
  • A pinch Salt
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ⅓ cup melted butter/Oil
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp any vinegar
Instructions
  1. Take a mixing bowl add vegetable oil or ghee, sugar powder. Beat well, till you get the creamy consistency. Seive the dry ingredients like plain flour, Thandai masala, baking powder & baking soda.
  2. Thandai Cake recipe with Thandai Masala, Since we have added Thandai Masala, seive well make sure that there are no impurities. Add the milk and vinegar & blend well. Thandai Cake Batter Ready. Pour the Thandai Cake batter over a greased tin.

Notes
I have used the Thandai Masala to make this cake, I have used ⅓ cups of Thandai Masala. You can reduce the quantity according to your requirement.
Adding vinegar to the Thandai Cake mix is the final step so don't add it initially.
Once added bake it Immediately otherwise the cake will not rise much.

Tips to make Perfect Thandai Cake Recipe,

  1. You can use whole wheat flour instead of maida if you are health conscious.
  2. adjust the addition of Thandai masala powder. If you full flavor you can add 1/3 cup of Thandai Masala or you can reduce the quantity. It up to you.
  3. I skipped adding vanilla essence or any because Thandai masala includes saffron, cardamom so no need to add any essence.
  4. Vinegar should add at the final stage and after adding vinegar should not wait, we have to bake the cake immediately.
