Badam Burfi recipe i have posted long back with kesar.Do Check the recipe. To make this badam Halwa, I have blanched the almonds, grinded it into a smoot paste with milk and then made badam halwa.
If you want to keep this halwa for 3 -4 days You can blanch the almond, toasted them lightly and then powdered it. Almond powder lends a delicate and non-sticky taste to the halwa, exactly like the one we get in sweet stalls. The taste and the shelf life of this badam burfi is much more than the one made with milk or almond paste. You can use rose water or saffron for added flavor, I did used saffron.
You can also use store bought blanched or silvered almonds for this.

For a detailed steps, check my post on how to blanch almonds and make the almond paste. Add the saffron in the warm milk and let it to bleed.
Add the blanched almonds in the mixie jar and add milk. Grind it into a smooth paste. Keep a non stick pan in the stove and add the grinded paste and sugar, stir continuously.
Now add in the elachi or cardamom powder and saffron milk, mix well.Constantly stir and cook. you will begin to see the halwa getting better color as it is cooking and blending well with sugar. It got a better color now after cooking for about 8 minutes. When it thickens, add little more ghee or oil and stir. Add ghee in intervals twice or thrice. You should not stop stirring to prevent burning.Switch off when it reaches the desired consistency. We prefer it a bit thick, If needed you can just add few tbsps milk to get the desired consistency.Almond halwa is ready.
