Kadhamba Satham

Ingredients:

1 cup Rice
1/4 cup Toor Dhal
3 cups Water
1/4 cup Tamarind Extract
1/3 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/3 tsp Hing(Perungayam)Powder
1/2-1 cups Mixed Vegetables
1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
Few Curry leave
1 tsp Oil
Salt as needed

For Grinding:
1/4 cup Coconut
1 tsp Coriander seeds
3-4 Red Chilli
1 tsp Channa Dhal
1/4 tsp oil

Method of Preparation:

Drop oil in the pressure cooker once the oil become hot put mustard seeds and hing powder into it. Add  mixed vegetables and curry leaves into it and fry them for a while.

Maewhile prepare the kadham satham powder.By heating oil in a kadai and fry the coconut,coriander seeds, red chillies, channa dhal in low flame.let it cool for sometime and then powder it in mixie.As i prepared it before itself so am adding directly into the fried vegetables.

Add the turmeic powder,salt and let it cook for sometime.
Wash rice and dhall,add it into pressure cooker.
Finally add the tamarind extract and water.Pressure cook and serve it hot.
