Home Made Curd
Home Made Curd:
I know preparing of curd is not a big deal, but how to prepare it as thick as possible is a big task. This is my regular job in the late night.Without curd the day will not start for me.My daughter fav is curd, she will have it with idly, dosa and for everything. While talking with my neighbour she asked me how to set the curd. She used to bought it from the store and for the past 3 days, our nearby store was closed and she struggled without curd.So i thought of blogging it..I took these pics in late night,so friends kindly bare the pics:)
Some people doesn’t like the fresh milk smell. So iam preparing the curd in both the methods,Milk powder and the Milk method.
Milk Powder Version:
Ingredients:
4 tbsp of Milk Powder
400 ml Water
1 tbsp Curd
Method:
Take a clean microwave safe bowl and a clean spoon, add the milk powder and water in the bowl and mix them well, without lumbs.
Keep the Milk in the microwave and boil it for 2 mins.
Once the milk boils, take it out and set it cool for 30-45 mins.
Add 1 tbsp of thick curd into the luke warm milk.(To check the temperature of the milk, wash your hand and touch the milk with the finger and see,if it luke warm then it is the right stage to add curd.)
Let it in the room temperature for 6-8 hours.(I used to do it in late night and the next day morning the curd will set nicely)
If you see the curd after 6-8 hours, the curd will set nicely.
