Allam Chutney for Idli / Dosa is the most delicious breakfast that I have had ever.  Pesarattu, Gongrura, Pappu, Chakkli, Paruppu Podi are most familiar dishes in Andra Cusine. Ginger health Benefits are more. The ginger juice reduces the body weight and also very good for controlling the cholesterol level. Taking raw ginger juice is a bit difficult so having ginger in the form of chutney is a good idea.

Ginger Chutney or Allam Pachadi has 2 versions, Allam chutney with Green chilli and another Allam pachadi with Dry red chilli. Both has a slight difference in taste but very good for health. Step by step recipe of Preparing Allam Pachadi or Ginger Chutney,

Heat oil in a pan. Roast the black gram dal, methi seeds, Mustard seeds, Dry red chillies and hing. Let it cool for some time.

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp black gram dal
  • 1 tsp methi seeds
  • 4 dry red chillies
  • hing
  • a sprig curry leaves
  • 10 g ginger,chopped
  • 1 tbsp jaggery
  • 1 lemon sized Tamarind
Instructions
