Iam a great fan of Manchurian.I usually prepare Gobi Manchurian as the side dish for Fried Rice. But for a change this time i wanted to try veg Manchurian. It is easy to make and taste also delicious. My hubby also liked this manchurian which I prepared with fried rice and we had a yummy meal.Do try this yummy recipe.
Ingredients:
For Veg Balls
1/4 cup finely chopped cabbage/cauliflower
1/4 cup carrot,grated
1 medium sized onion finely chopped
1/4 cup beans
1 tbsp Maida
1/3 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp Cornflour
1 tbsp Oil
Salt as Needed.
For gravy:
1 medium sized onion, diced
3-4 garlic cloves,finely chopped
1 tsp green chilly,finely chopped(optional)
1 green bell peppers
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp Tomato sauce
1 tsp vinegar
A pinch Ajanamoto
1 tbsp cornflour mixed with 1/2 cup of water
1/2 tsp Sugar
1 tbsp oil
Salt as needed
Method:
Lets prepare the Veg balls:
Add the cabbage/cauliflower,carrots,onions,beans in a large mixing bowl.
Add cornflour,Maida,pepper powder and salt.
Take a spoon of mixture and make small balls using your hand.
Now heat the Paniyaram Pan and Sprinkle little oil in it,drop the balls in the pan and fry them.
Cover and cook for few minutes. So that the vegetables inside the balls also cook well.
If you want you can deep fry the balls in oil.Turn the other side and cook well, till golden brown.
Here is the vegetable balls are ready.
Lets Prepare the sauce:
Heat the oil in a wok and add the garlic, onion and toss them for few minutes.
Add the Sauces,sugar,salt,vinegar and Ajanamoto
Add the veg balls and Bell peppers, toss for few more minutes. Finally add the cornflour paste.Once the gravy becomes thick transfer it into the serving bowl.
Here is the tasty and delicious Veg Manchurian is ready to serve.
Serve hot with rotis/fried rice.
Have a nice day!
