Tom Yum and Tom Kha are both hot and sour soups. The critical difference is that Tom Kha has coconut milk added. If you’re considering making one of these soups at home, it’s easy to make using a Tom Yum soup base. But today I made using Ready made Tom yum paste.

Step by step Tom kha Soup recipe
Heat a saucepan with 1 tbsp oil, add 5 shallots chopped, 3 garlic cloves chopped, that chiles chopped, and saute well. add mushrooms or any veggies of your choice.
Add 2 cups of water, let it boil. Add 1 vegetarian stock cubs or if you have your own vegetable stocks you can use that. 1 Tbsp tom yum soup paste mix well.
add 1 tbsp lime juice and also drop the lime peel and let it to boil. Add 1/3 cup of thick coconut milk, mix well. boi, for 3 to 4 mins and then switch off the stove. Tom Kha soup is ready to serve.
We can have this soup as it is or we can have it with steamed rice.
