Semiya Rava Kesari


1cup rava
1cup semiya (vermicelli)
1cup sugar
3cup water
3-4tbsp ghee
1/2tsp cardamom powder
6-7 cashew nuts
6 raisins
A pinch kesari Powder


In a heavy bottomed kadai put 1tsp ghee and fry the cashew nuts and raisins. Remove and keep aside. In the same kadai, put one more tsp ghee and fry the semiya and rava till light brown. Remove it.In another thick bottomed vessel put the water and bring to boil. When it starts boiling, add the fried semiya and rava cook till soft. Add sugar and mix well. Add kesari powder and stir well. Reduce the flame.Cook till it thickens.Add remaining ghee, fried cashew nuts and cardamom powder. Stir thoroughly and transfer it to a greased tray.cut it into your desired shape and serve it.
