Dry Gulab Jamun
Original Dry Gulab Jamun Recipe without gulab jamun mix. This gulab jamun is made up of milk powder and maida.
1 cups milk powder
1/4 cup maida/plain flour
A pinch baking soda
A pinch salt
2 tbsp ghee/oil
1tsp milk
1/3 cup fine sugar(for dusting the jamun)
Oil for deep frying
1/2 cup Water
Knead well till the dough should be soft and peal able.
Make it into small balls.
Fry the balls in oil into gloden brown,stain the oil and take it out.
Put the fried balls into the sugar syrup and keep it aside for 2-3 hours,so that it observe the syrup completely.
Roll the gulab jamun over the fine sugar one by one and set it in a plate.
Set it in the fridge before serving.
Here is the soft and tasty dry gulab jamun is ready to taste.

Gulab jamuns looks tempting, just need to check with you, is maida flour and wheat flour the same. The measurement for maida flour and fine sugar is it 1/2 cup?

What is evaporated milk? Do you get that ready made or something? I would love to try this one. (is it what we call maava in hindi and gova in tamil?)
