Nellikai(gooseberry) pachadi Recipe | Dwadashi Paarana thaligai
Nellikai is nothing but gooseberry and it is also known as Amla,Usirikaya.Nellikai is very good coolant and it very rich in vitamin c.
Making the Nellikai Pachadi,Nellikai Raita or Amla Raita is very simple.Mixing with curd gives yummy taste to this raita.Everyone loves this pachadi.Usually we make this for dwadashi that is to break ekadasi vratam.Lets see the recipe.
Ingredients:
3-4 Nellikai(gooseberry)
1 cup curd
1 tbsp coconut
2 green chillies
salt as needed
for tempering:
1/2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp split urad dal
Method:
1. Cut the nellikai into small pieces and then boil it.
2. Mash the boiled nellikai and then grind the green chilly with coconut,mix well with the nellikai.
3.add in the whipped curd mix well
4.finally temper the mustard seeds and dal in oil ,mix well with the nellikai.
5.Now the nellikai pachadi is ready to serve.
