Simple Home style Pudina sadam, Mint rice Recipe with step-by-step Tamil Voice video. The Mint rice recipe or pudina sadham is made with mint leaves and no biryani spices. Pudina Sadam recipe, mint leaves rice, no onion no garlic recipe. Best for packing lunch or while traveling!
Cook 1 cup rice with 2 cups of water. Once cooked cool down completely. Keep aside. You can use leftover rice too.
Into a mixie jar add 1 pit full of fresh mint leaves, coriander leaves, few curry leaves, 4 green chilies, a small piece ginger + ¼ cup water grind it to a fine paste
Heat a pan add 1 tbsp oil, add 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp chana dal, 4 dried red chilies, 10 cashews roast them till it turn golden
Add the freshly ground puree and then cooked rice + 1 tsp salt mix well. Keep in low flame and mix well. That’s it pudina sadam ready!
Notes
I used seeraga samba rice you can use basmati rice too. Adjust the spiciness according to your tastebuds.
