Hotel Style Tomato Chutney, THAKKALI Chutney for Idly, Dosa, poori, Chapathi

- 1 TSP chana dal
- 1 tsp Urad Dal
- 2 red chilies
- 2-3 kashmiri chilies
- 2 tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Chili Powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp oil
Heat a tsp of Oil in a pan/kadai. Add 1 tsp urad dal, 1 tsp chana dal, roast on low flame.
Add 2 red chilies, 2 to 3 Kashmiri chilies, roast it. Add 2 tomatoes diced roast it.
Let it cool down and then add it to a mixie jar and grind it to a fine paste. That's it Tomato chutney is ready to serve!
Finally add the Tadka and Mix well.
- Adjust the spice level according to your tastebuds.
- Kashmiri Chilies give nice bright red color and good quantity, so don't skip them.
- use nice red ripe tomatoes or you can add a small piece of tamarind too.
