Pakoda mor kuzhambu recipe, deep-fried fritters (pakora) are dunked in yogurt based curry you may call South Indian Kadhi Pakora.

Ingredients
  • For Pakoda,
  • 2 medium-sized onion thinly sliced
  • 2 tsp rice flour/arisi maavu
  • 1 tbsp besan/chickpea flour/kadalai maavu
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ⅓ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp thick curd
  • 1 tsp oil
  • few mint leaves
  • For Morkuzhambu,
  • Soak and grind,
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tbsp coriander seeds
  • 2 green chilies
  • 2 tbsp toor dal
  • 2 tbsp coconut
  • For kuzhambu
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 dried red chilies
  • hing
  • ⅓ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 & ½ cup beaten buttermilk, 1 cup thick curd + ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup water
Instructions
  1. Slice 2 medium-sized onion, add it to mixing bowl, add 2 tsp rice flour/arisi maavu, 1 tbsp besan/chickpea flour/kadalai maavu, 1 tsp chili powder, ⅓ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp salt mix everything well. Now add 1 tbsp thick curd, 1 tsp oil mix well.
  2. add few mint leaves, mix well.
  3. Spread it in an Air fryer, Air fry for 15 mins at 180-degree celsius. While it is frying open the basket after 10 mins flip the other and fry again for 5 more minutes. Crispy crunchy pakodas ready. Let's make the mor kuzhambu.
  4. Soak 1 tsp cumin seeds, ½ tbsp coriander seeds, 2 green chilies, 2 tbsp Toor dal, for 1 hour, and then transfer the soaked ingredients to a mixie jar. Add 2 tbsp coconut grind it to a smooth paste with ⅓ cup of water. grind and keep aside. Heat a pan with 1 tbsp coconut oil and 2 dried red chilies, hing.
  5. Add the freshly ground coconut paste, wash the mixie jar with ½ cup water, and add it. Add ⅓ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp salt mix well. let it boil for 6 to 8 mins till the raw smell goes off and also the kuzhambu turns thick.
  6. After 8 mins Keep the stove on low flame add the beaten buttermilk and mix well. Once it's slightly foams switch off the stove. Don't boil for long after adding the buttermilk as it will turn to curdle. Add the fried Pakodas on top and serve hot.
