Kunafa Recipe with Cheese and double Cream Recipe, Arabic Dessert Kunafa Recipe is very simple and easy that required very less time to make. Simple Kunafa Arabic Dessert is made of Kataifi, which is a thin strand of shredded phyllo dough. Kunafa can also be Pronounced like Knefeh and it is a very popular dessert in the Middle East.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups kataifi / thin seviyan
  • ½ cup grated Mozzarella cheese
  • ⅓ cup double cream
  • To make Sugar Syrup:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ⅓ cup water
  • 1 tbsp rose essence
Instructions
  1. Make the sugar syrup,add sugar in a pan.
  2. Add water and let the sugar dissolve in the water. Stir well.
  3. Once the sugar syrup reaches the thick consistency(gulab jamun syrup consistency) switch off the stove and then add the rose essence.
  4. Mix Kataifi with sugar syrup and then divide it into 2 parts, one is for topping and another part is for the base.
  5. Take orange food colour and butter to grease the tin.
  6. Setting the layer of Kunafa with Kataifi.
  7. Spread a layer of Kataifi without the sugar syrup. Spread it Evenly over the greased tin.
  8. Add the Mozzarella Cheese over the kataifi layer. You can add any grated cheese on top of the kataifi.
  9. Apply a thin layer of double cream over the cheese.
  10. Apply another layer of kataifi without syrup and press it slightly.

  12. Now add the remaining Sugar syrup over the Kunafa. Now bake it for 15 mins about 180 degrees celsius.
  13. Kunafa Recipe is ready
  14. Once the sides started turning light brown, remove it from the oven. Let it cool down for some time. Slice and serve it. Kunafa is ready to serve.
Notes
Make sure that the sugar syrup should not very thick or thin consistency.
If you keep in the kunafa in oven check in between how it is baking, once it started light brown on the side you can remove it from the oven.
