Biriyani recipe is exactly same like dindigul thalappakatti mutton biryani. The substitute for mutton i have used mock mutton.Used jeera rice to make briyani.

Ingredients
2 cups jeera rice
1 tsp oil + 2 tbsp ghee
1 cinnamon stick
2 cardamom
3 cloves
2 biriyani leaves
2 medium sized onion
2 tomatoes
few coriander,mint leaves
10 chillies split
100 g mock mutton
½ cup thick curd
1 tsp chilly powder
1 tsp salt for marination
½ tsp garam masala
31/2 cups water
1 tbsp salt
Instructions
Slice the onion,tomatoes and split the chillies ,make ready.Chop the mint and coriander keep aside. Wash and soak the jeera rice for 10-15 mins. Mariante the mutton with chilli powder, salt, thick curd and garam masala powder.
Heat the oil and the ghee in the biriyani pan and then add the spices,fry well.Now add in the onion,tomato and green chilly fry well. Now add the ginger garlic paste mix well.
Then add the marinate mock mutton ,mix well. Add the water let it to boil and then add the rice mix well. cover and cook it for 10 minutes.
Once the rice start boiling , open the lid and mix the rice slowly without breaking the rice. Once done add the choped coriander and mint leaves mix well.Here is the delicious dindigul thalappakatti biriyani is ready to serve.
Notes
You can use basmati rice if you don't get the jeera rice you can substitute the mock mutton with mushroom or any vegetables.
