Simple Sambar Sadam Recipe, How to make Sambar Rice

- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup cooked dal
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp sambar powder
- ⅓ cup thick tamarind juice
- 1 tsp ghee
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- ⅓ tsp urad dal
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- a pinch of asafoetida
- 1 cup small onions
- ½ cup chopped tomatoes
- Few curry leaves
- salt to taste,
- Wash the rice and dhal, drain the water.cooked it separately.
- Heat the ghee in a pan and add the mustard seeds once it pops,add onion,tomatoes and curry leaves into it(If u want to add veggie also u can add).
- Add turmeric powder, sambar powder and salt.
- Now add the cooked dal, cooked rice and water , pressure cooks it.
- Add this seasoning to the cooked sambar rice and mix it by adding ghee(optional).
- Garnish it with chopped Corriander Leaves.Serve hot with potato fry and papad.
